Meet Your Host Darren Kiner
I am a very experienced CGI Lighting Artist, Lighting Supervisor and CG Supervisor. For the last 3.5 years, I have been the Lighting and Compositing Director on the Nickelodeon television series Big Nate, where I helped design the look of the show, especially the lighting. In the past, I have worked in Visual Effects on such films as Alita, Battle Angel (at Weta Digital, NZ) and on many Animated Features (Aladdin, Fantasia 2000, Iron Giant, Hotel Transylvania, etc). More recently, I was the CG Supervisor for the Lighting Department on Netflix’s The Willoughbys (Bron Animation, Vancouver). I am currently developing both live action and animated projects.
