CODE OF CONDUCT

The Creative Talent Network does not discriminate on the bases of race, sexual orientation, gender preference (or lack thereof), age, religious beliefs, political beliefs, etc. We do not tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, or any other sign of hate in our show. CTN events are a safe place for creative artists of all races, colors and preferences. If you don't hold these same values, we are not the place for you. 

CTN is dedicated to providing a harassment-free environment for everyone. We do not tolerate harassment or abusive behavior to anyone including attendees, teachers, and staff. We ask that all participants support this atmosphere. Anyone found to be violating our rules can be expelled at the discretion of organizers without a refund. 

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

 Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. 

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of our staff immediately. 

Staff will be happy to help attendees contact security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the class.

COVID

Please note that CTN’s first priority for in person attendance is the health and safety of our visitors and staff. Visitation protocols are put in place to help protect against the spread of COVID-19 as dictated by the CDC.  Currently masks and proof of vaccination are not mandatory by the City of Los Angeles. These may change as we follow the  guidance from the State of California, City of Burbank and Los Angeles County change.  Please check back for updates.

Risk: An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and any health related issue exists in any public place where people are present. CTN follows all applicable public health orders and guidance, but by visiting in person, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and other health related issues. By attending an event produced by the Creative Talent Network or Foundation in Person you agree to this waiver and release.  Assumption of Risk Waiver and Release.

Symptom Check:  Visitors who are feeling sick or are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms (such as cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fever, chills, or any other symptoms), or who have had contact with anyone confirmed or suspected of having COVID-19, should stay home, regardless of vaccination status. Please note that visitors displaying COVID-19 symptoms will not be allowed to enter.

NOTICE OF FILMING AND PHOTOGRAPHY

When you enter a CTN event or program, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur.

By entering the event premises, you consent to photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by CTN and its affiliates and representatives. Images, photos and/or videos may be used to promote similar CTN events in the future, highlight the event and exhibit the capabilities of CTN.

You release CTN, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or or sound recordings.

By entering the event premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, web casting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, web casting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged.

You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by CTN or the person or entity designated to do so by CTN.

You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before entering the event.

ETHICAL NOTICE & SUCCESS DISCLAIMER

CTN, presenters or the teachers cannot, in any good conscience guarantee any outcome from attending their workshop or class.

We can expose you to what we know, but we can't implement it for you. As it is in life, how far you go is up to you and based on your ability to implement what we show and share with you. It's stipulated by law and our good intentions for you that we let you know this. You'll get access to the most cutting-edge training and bring in the best in their fields and then it's up to you to make the next steps happen.

PARTICIPATION ONLINE 

Welcome to the Participation Zone of The Creative Talent Network (known as CTN) online and in person programs and events. These are 'member only programs' and you will be asked to confirm your membership in Club CTN before entering. You can join FREE and cancel anytime.   CLICK HERE

ZOOM

Please arrive at least 10 min early to make sure everyone is settled before we begin. When you enter please make sure your camera and microphone are off. And give us a shout out in the chat window so we know you’re here and where you are zooming from. 

Q+A 

The online Zoom webinar will have a monitored Q+A feature as well as an informal chat window. Please ask your questions that you want the teacher to address in the Q+A window. When the teacher is ready, the moderator will read aloud your questions and they will be addressed, either during the session or at the end. 

PARTICIPATION IN PERSON

You will be attending in person at CTN Studio or CTN animation eXpo, the official physical head quarters for the Creative Talent Network membership and events. If you have been sick in the past 48 hours, a virtual option will be provided for you, instead of coming in person. Masks and vaccination cards are optional in general, but are recommended unless otherwise indicated.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to be checked in and to get settled before the class begins. The restrooms are in the hallway, and the key is located at the front of the studio. There is free street parking or parking behind the studio in spots numbered 100 or 301. There is water, coffee, beverages and small snacks available. Bring you own snacks or lunch. Please clean up your area when you leave.

Please arrive at least 60 minutes early to be checked in. There is free street parking or parking in various parking lots around the convention center. We recommend you take Lyft or Uber to the event. 

REFUND POLICY: Due to contractual obligations with vendors, location, and staffing, CTN will not be able to issue refunds if the event takes place and you are unable to attend. Though we cannot refund tickets you are free to give or sell your ticket to another person.

DISCORD

CTN programs and events use Discord as a community hub. On CTN Discord, you will receive general program announcements, chat with other participants. The main goal is to connect you with the CTN community at large, to receive help and guidance along the way.

SUPPLIES FOR DAY ONE

Please be ready with materials to take notes and if enrolled in an art program be prepared with basic drawing supplies on day one  (sketchbook.paper, pen/s, pencil/s.)

NO RECORDING 

Please be respectful of the presenters and the other attendees by not recording these sessions. The sessions are being recorded for archival purposes. If you are caught recording you will be asked to leave without a refund.
