Hi! I'm Teacher Noah and thank you for checking out my profile. :)
I teach a variety of art classes in an assortment of levels that range from traditional fundamentals (pencils, charcoal, and watercolors) to storytelling through cartoons and also digital drawing and animating on tablets!
I've been teaching for 16 years and have worked as a professional in the animation industry for studios like Netflix, FOX, and Dreamworks. I have a BFA in Animation and Illustration and have taught my classes at a variety of private schools in LA. I've also run art therapy workshops for at-risk teens, adults going through trauma and addiction rehabilitation, and 1-on-1 sessions with 1st-8th graders at UCLA.
All these experiences have gone into creating my "Star Student" curriculum for helping young artists discover their own artistic voice! I believe that everyone has a unique voice and that learning what this voice is and how to express it is the first step to having a fulfilling life full of peace and joy. As my students graduate to high school and become young adults, I introduce them to my "Mushroom League," where I continue their education teaching life stills and adulting tricks in fun community groups.
When I'm not coming up with curriculums and teaching, you can find me trying to master the guitar, boxing at the gym, or roller skating by the beach!
Thank you again for reading and feel free to reach out with any comments or questions!
