Disney In-Between: A Book Signing & AMA with Director Steve Anderson
Description:
Step inside a fascinating chapter of animation history at CTN Studio on Saturday, August 23rd from 12 PM – 3 PM as we welcome acclaimed Disney director Steve Anderson for an intimate book signing and “Ask Me Anything” event celebrating his latest release, Disney In-Between: The Lost Years 1966–1986.
This special gathering invites fans, artists, and animation lovers to discover the lesser-known transitional years of the Walt Disney Studios—after Walt and before the Renaissance. Steve brings his unique insider perspective as both a historian and filmmaker, bridging the past with the present in an open, casual conversation. Bring your curiosity, your questions, and your copy of the book—or pick one up on-site—and join us for an afternoon of storytelling, insight, and inspiration at CTN Studio.
Steve Anderson is a longtime Disney director, animator, and story artist with over 30 years in the industry. He directed Meet the Robinsons and co-directed Winnie the Pooh, and has contributed story work to films like Frozen, Moana, and Zootopia. A CalArts graduate, Steve began his career in traditional animation and rose to become a key voice in shaping Disney’s storytelling legacy. His latest work, Disney In-Between: The Lost Years 1966–1986, explores the studio’s most transitional and often overlooked era.
